President’s Corner – June/July 2024
Hello to everyone. As we ease into summer, I find myself thinking about the interesting spring it has been here in Tennessee. We experienced a wild weather Spring with temperatures reaching in the 90’s way to early and tropical rainforest-type weather including tornados and heavy rains with high winds. Unfortunately, we had to postpone or cancel several of our planned Club activities all due to Mother Nature. Fortunately, none of our members experienced major damage through all of this. On a more upbeat note, Mark Edmunds our VP/ Activities is planning many more outings and activities to get us back out on the road enjoying our Corvettes. By the way, has anyone noticed how many of our members are driving C8’s? It doesn’t seem possible that the 2025 model year will mark 5 years with the mid-engine. It will be interesting to see what Chevrolet has planned for the near future with rumors of a C8 Grand Sport and perhaps a Corvette SUV. That sure gets a reaction from Corvette people whenever that comes up in the conversation. Hey, Porsche and Lamborgini and other supercar manufacturers have one and they seem to be selling well. I’m certain, the summer will go by quickly. Get out and enjoy your car and our upcoming cruises and gatherings. Keep an eye on the website for upcoming activities. I look forward to seeing everyone. Make sure to introduce yourselves to our many new members and make all of them feel welcome. Regards to everyone, Bob
