President’s Corner – January 2026
Happy New Year to everyone!
I think everyone has heard the saying "What goes around comes around". I'm Back! 2025 passed quickly for me, working with Mark Edmunds, scheduling the many fun activities that we all participated in. Little did I know that I would end up back as Club President in 2026. As most of you know, three members of the 2025 Board are returning for 2026. This is welcome news for me as it helps ease the transition for the incoming President in a big way. Cooper Chilton is returning as Club Treasurer, Dolores Johnson as Club Secretary, and Ralph Montileone as NCCC Governor. All three individuals have served in these roles for multiple years. Mike Johnson is new to the Board as Club Vice President and Activities Director. Mark and I will be working closely with Mike in 2026, helping him understand his role and responsibilities. I recently spoke with some of our members regarding their thoughts for 2026 club activities. There is growing interest in planning several automotive-related information "Cruise In's" similar to our visits to Ceramic Pro in Franklin and Cooper's Garage. We also discussed adding a few "light technical" install your own accessories sessions for those that still like to get their hands dirty once in a while. We seem to have an abundance of new and newer cars in our club that may need the new owner's personal touch and accessorizing. Mike would like your input and suggestions. Send him an email, text, or pick up the phone and call him. (Mike- 675-572-3767). I plan to work with Mike one on one and focus on his role as Club V.P. and assisting me with some of the Club management activities and helping him learn more about the responsibilities of the Club President. Closer joint coordination of management of the Club perhaps, will help us in the development and growth of future Club Presidents. Our newest addition to the 2026 Staff is Nick Bahe. Nick will act as our Club Webmaster. As Nick starts his transition to this role he will be working jointly with Keith Douglas and me to understand our Website and begin to do the site communications and updates. We have started to update the website information for 2026. The 2026 Officers' and Staff Listing and the 2026 Board and Club Meeting Calendar have been placed on the NashvilleCorvetteClub.com website and are available for you to download and print. The NCC Membership Directory has been updated through December 2025. The Directory is also available for downloading or saving to your personal computer. Please log into the website weekly for updates and scheduled activities in early 2026. Remember, you must be logged in to view all membership and activity information for the Club. Mike is working on our first two planned activities of the year that will occur in February and March. We are taking into account the tricks that Tennessee weather normally pulls on us, so for the month of January we are we are only scheduling a Club Board and Club Membership Meeting. Stay tuned! I'm glad to be back, and I am ready to go to work. I would be happy to listen to your ideas and how you can get involved in the future of the Nashville Corvette Club. Best Regards, Bob Laflin NCC President
