President’s Corner – September/October 2026

     Well, here we are in the Dog Days of summer here in Tennessee. It seems like we
            entered the Dog Days back in May, but the hot and steamy weather has continued ever
            since.

            As we enter early fall, we enter a very busy period for the Club. We are beginning the
            2027 membership renewal period beginning September 1st. This date is a little earlier than normal
            this year. Our goal is for every member to complete their renewal on or before 
            November 15. Everyone’s membership expires on December 31 st, including your
            NCCC Membership.

            Club Officer elections also begin in September. The first round of nominations for
             2027 Officers will be on September 14th at our scheduled Club Meeting.
            The second round of officer nominations will take place at the October 12 th Club
            Meeting, with the actual officer elections held on November 9th at the Club Meeting.

Absentee ballots are available for those who are unable cast their votes the November
meeting. Requests for the ballot must be made through our Club Secretary, Dolores
Johnson, via email. (doloresussery@gmail.com).

The absentee ballot  be returned to Dolores no later than November 1st .

  Mike Johnson, V.P. /Activities, has been very busy also planning the Club cruises and
  activities this year. Mother Nature has been a challenge several times, forcing a few activity
reschedules due to the weather. 

Mike will also provide a peek at some of the upcoming remaining fun things planned for
t he balance of this year.
