Bags Delivered to The Rescue Mission

Nashville Corvette Club,

The Nashville Rescue Mission Charity Project

Ladies, do you have a GENTLY used PURSE you don’t want?  Fill it with snacks, socks, and

personal hygiene products.  Share it with a homeless lady.  I found this idea on face book. I

have saved it so I could decide how to use it!  The Nashville Rescue mission is the perfect place

for this project.  Butch suggested we also pack “Shave Bags” for the men at the Rescue Mission.

The Corvette Club has nylon string backpacks that we can use for the men.  The participating

ladies will provide the purses. Did you forget to pick up a Bag for the Men’s Shave Bag at the

February meeting? Bring your items to the March meeting and we will provide you with a proper bag.

The FILLED purses and Shave Bags will be collected at our March 14, 2016 Club meeting. Below are the suggested items to fill the purses and bags:

It was suggested that we put a $5.00 McDonald’s gift card in each bag. Please contact JoAnn Chovan or Janice Geng  with your questions.

How we get our funds?

The main way we raise funds for charity is via autocrosses, poker runs, etc. We do take donations too when the need arises and near the holidays. The Nashville Corvette Club is dedicated to giving back to the community. Whether it be a donation to a pet shelter, the Red Cross, or even our Scholarship program, we are committed to "giving back." When club members work events they not only help raise hard earned charity funds, they also get to mingle and get to know one another. We work and play hard that's for sure, but working these fund raising events is a blast. I won't fool you, it's a lot of work, but it's well worth it.The 2013 Charity Events were a great success! Our club members worked many hours planning events. We couldn't have done it without help from our membership! As a Result many Regional Charity needs were addressed.

Nashville Corvette Club Has Contributed to:

  • Nashville Rescue Mission
  • Salvation Army
  • Scholarship program
  • Kars for Kids
  • Christmas Angel Run
  • Vanderbilt Children's Hospital
  • Several Nashville area Homes for the Aged
  • Fisher House
  • Kidney Foundation
  • Animal Shelters
  • And Many Other Middle TN charities!

Welcome to our charity page!

The NCC Charity Bingo Party can be summed up by saying the evening was inviting, warm and successful.  See Bingo Charity Party We should start by saying thanks to Pat & Patti Thompson for hosting the event and for the great food and also thanks to Terry and Kathy Rucker for the smooth & efficient way you both managed the flow of the games.  Well done!!!  Thanks to everyone that brought extra food as well. Approximately 50 members (not sure if everyone signed the waiver sheets) attended the party and I believe every chair and table were filled.  The club raised a considerable amount for charity plus the sale of raffle tickets for the "Buy a Ticket, Win a Brick" also picked up momentum.  For those who could not attend Saturday's Bingo Party, you missed a wonderful time.  Thank you to those attending members for your presence and for the great "Jack Daniel's Chili" and tasty desserts.  Pat & Patti also pass along their additional thanks for your help with the clean up afterwards.
The evening was enjoyable and productive.

Poker Runs!

Yes! We had a great turnout for the Poker Run. 12 teams hit the back roads to various checkpoints and ended up at Jim & Nicks BBQ in Smyrna. We had a great time, had some good fun and laughs as well. And earned funds for local Charities.
